14 Mar Hi Everyone

I would firstly like to thank eightlane for asking me to blog for them. I hope that the readers find my contribution insightful and enjoyable to read. Firstly, I should introduce myself, I am a GB hammer thrower based in Loughborough and originally for the mighty Yorkshire. My coach is Tore Gustafsson who is the Swedish national record holder in the hammer throw. He is based in San Jose, California which means I get a few nice trips a year across the Atlantic to warmer climates.

My target for Summer 2013 is to make the World Championships team in Moscow. The A standard is 72.00m, the B standard is 69.50m, my PB is 68.50m. I competed for the first time last weekend, opening up my 2013 campaign with a decent 67.21m, my best opener and third best result ever, so I’m feeling positive about what the next five months will bring.

This coming weekend I compete for GB at the European Winter Throws in Valencia and then I fly straight out to California on Monday. I will be blogging each week for eightlane and you can also check out my progress on my website www.sarah-holt.com …. For now, over and out!
