03 Dec Great Britain and Northern Ireland team looks to top medal table at European Cross Country Championships

Last year the Great Britain and Northern Ireland squad dominated the European Cross Country Championships, winning four team titles.

Incredibly Team GB won half of the available gold medals and, with six golds, five silvers and one bronze, they easily topped the medal table, well ahead of France and Russia.

This year’s 36-strong squad was announced this week following last weekend’s qualification race in Liverpool and will now head to the town of Szentendre, 23 kilometres north of Budapest, to try and repeat last year’s success.
